so kt and i played in the music makers contest last night and it was a joke. seriously… we were in between a dude that was convulsing, slamming things around on stage while yelling “i’m over you Valerie”, or something like that, and a dude who sang about just wanting to get drunk while running naked in a hotel lobby.

the gem of the night was a small korean lady that performed some spoken word.  i’m not too familiar with spoken word so i was kind of excited to hear her.  it was interesting at first, but then everything started to sound kind of sexual and it became a little awkward.

but in the end, Dwight Kurt Schrute III won out, playing his accordion with his friend that writes sad songs.

after that experience, i’m not sure if the cafe coco crowd is our kind of crowd. maybe if we spend 3 years with a hobo hopping trains across the Country, then i think we might be prepared for the eccentric crowd of the cafe coco.
